BR-6505-12-0R is a Brocade 6505 Gen 5 Fibre Channel Switch purpose-built for entry-level enterprise SANs, small-to-mid data centers, and virtualized storage environments. It delivers 8Gbps high-speed FC performance with enterprise reliability, ideal for daily storage networking, backup, and disaster recovery workloads.
This unit features a 24-port SFP+ chassis with 12 ports factory-activated, and comes with 12*8Gb shortwave (SW) SFP+ transceivers for out-of-the-box deployment. Supporting auto-sensing of 2/4/8/16Gbps FC speeds, it offers flexible Ports-on-Demand (PoD) scalability to expand up to 24 ports as your business grows.
Designed as a 1U rack-mountable form factor, it saves valuable cabinet space while ensuring efficient heat dissipation. Powered by Brocade Fabric OS, it provides advanced management, diagnostic tools, and robust security features to simplify SAN deployment and maintenance. A single fixed power supply ensures stable operation for non-redundant environments.
